USC Trojan Dance Force
About Trojan Dance Force
Trojan Dance Force (TDF) is the official dance team of USC Athletics. The team performs at all Men’s and Women’s home basketball games, in addition to performances and appearances at other USC Athletics and Alumni events. Members of the team are ambassadors of the team, USC Athletics and the University at large.
Trojan Dance Force was founded in 1995, and from the start, brought a new, high energy style of game entertainment to USC basketball. Similar to professional dance teams in the NBA/NFL, TDF is known for their hard-hitting dance style, providing entertainment for Trojan fans with routines that celebrate dance forms from hip hop to jazz to Pom and character dance.
Trojan Dance Force Alumni have gone on to dance for pro-teams like the LA Lakers, LA Clippers, LA Rams, San Francisco 49ers, Boston Celtics, New York Jets and more.
Team Information and Expectations
The season begins in August and runs until April 15th, including games and/or tournaments over winter and spring break. The team practices 3 times a week. The fall practice schedule for 2023 will be Mon, Wed & Thurs from 7-9:30pm. All practices and games are mandatory, however, the team does perform on a rotation which means each dancer will have a few games off during the year.
The team learns anywhere from 20-30 routines along with sideline combinations and cheers.
Dedication, commitment, responsibility and communication are key attributes of a successful TDF member. Please know that we fully understand all team members are first and foremost, students, and as such, will have other responsibilities and commitments. We fully support each members’ journey as a USC student.
TDF is an unforgettable and unparalleled experience where team members not only grow as people and dancers, but also walk away with lifelong memories and friendships.
